Founder and Managing Partner of McCafferty & Company
Colin McCafferty is the founder and Managing Partner of McCafferty & Company. Prior to launching McCafferty & Co in 2006 Colin was the Director of Private Equity at Saban Capital Group, a media private equity fund, where he was involved with multiple large media transactions. Colin began his finance career at Goldman Sachs as a M&A investment banker where he worked on numerous transactions in Communications, Media and Entertainment. Prior to working in finance Colin worked at CBS where he was nominated for two Emmy Awards for his work on the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympic Games. Colin also founded iHoops.com, a rights holder to national street basketball leagues, which was acquired by Endgame Entertainment in 2001. Colin has a M.B.A. from Harvard University and a B.A. from Miami University (Ohio). He also studied abroad at Sophia University in Japan and is fluent in Japanese. Colin holds the FINRA Series 62, 63, and 79 licenses
Keith Colton began his career at McCafferty & Co as an intern in 2009. Prior to working at McCafferty & Co, Keith worked as an accounting intern for Life Line Screening of America, where he managed financial control development, bank reconciliations, as well as preparing and booking journal entries. Keith graduated Magna Cum Laude and Beta Gamma Sigma with a B.B.A. degree in finance from Temple University. Additionally, Keith founded a website development and SEO company in 2005, is fluent in Japanese, and has a Black belt in bujinkan budo taijutsu. Keith holds the FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses.
Office Manager Executive Assistant
Julia recently joined McCafferty & Company. Prior to working at McCafferty and Company, Julia was a Facilities and Office Manager at Saban Capital Group where she worked for over 12 years. Prior to that, Julia worked at Saybrook Capital Group under their Office Services Department. Julia received an AA degree in Education at Makerere University in Uganda and an IATA diploma in London, UK.
Tyler started at McCafferty & co in the summer of 2017. Tyler graduated from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in 2017 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, where he majored in in Finance and minored in Real Estate and Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Tyler began his college career playing NCAA baseball for the Emory Eagles, where he was a team captain and starting pitcher. Additionally, Tyler is a member of the Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA).
Lucas Barash-David joined McCafferty & Co. as an Analyst in 2017. Prior to joining McCafferty & Co., Lucas worked as a senior analyst at ECHELON Partners – the leading investment bank for the wealth and investment management industry – and as an investment associate at Fisher Investments – one of the country’s largest registered investment advisors. Lucas attended the University of Washington Honors Program through the Robinson Center Academy for Young Scholars early entrance program and graduated with a B.A. Degree in Political Science and English. Lucas holds the FINRA Series 63, and 79 licenses, and has passed the level one and two CFA exams.
